Women at the General Meeting

Mulheres no Encontro Geral


Sisters from different locations came together at the 2023 General Meeting to worship the Lord, grow in grace and knowledge and become spiritually strengthened. The grace of the Lord enveloped them in an immeasurable way, the presence of the Eternal was felt at all times in all activities. We thank God for the renewal, blessings and for providing His anointing.

 

At this meeting there was a lecture with sister Anneliese (IDSD Nova Odessa-SP), who addressed the theme “Uncovering the Multiform Grace of God to have an Abundant Life” (1 Peter. 4:10). The syndromes of this time and how we must act to free ourselves and do God's will; Three faces of God's multiform grace; I understand the action of God's spirit in man to reach the mind of Christ.




Lecture summary: - Being entirely in today - taking responsibility for ourselves and others, seeking the fullness of the action of God's grace in our lives:

- Undeserved grace – accepting saving grace, practicing God's grace in our way of living, overflowing the results of all this, having an abundant life in God's grace and love!

 

We had “Mary’s Moment”, where we learned that “Marta” is often suffocating us with so many tasks and that “her” work is important, but that we have to reflect on how much time we are dedicating to God. What is taking priority in our lives?

There were moments of prayer with sister Maria Fátima (IDSD Digital), who guided us and spoke about the importance of prayer, of being at the feet of God like Mary, that often our prayers are not answered because we do not seek the presence of the Lord.

We had moments of gratitude, prayer requests and testimonies from the sisters, who spoke of the blessings received.


 


There were moments of praise and adoration through the sisters: Anneliese (IDSD Nova Odessa-SP), Andressa, Fabiana, Karen, Ivanir (IDSD Colombo-PR) and Susan (IDSD Pouso Redondo-SC).

 

There was the Workshop: Rooted Women, with the sisters Adriana, Fernanda and Marianni, who developed a dynamic involving all the sisters, demonstrating the importance of being firm in the faith and in the ways of the Lord, where we seek the pure sap for our journey in faith. We had a moment of relaxation with the delivery of gifts that the sisters brought from their localities.

 

The meeting also provided interaction and learning through a lecture by Sister Fabiana (IDSD Colombo-PR), involving the wives of pastors, wives of workers and cooperators, strengthening each one.


 


We are grateful to God for granting us the opportunity to enrich ourselves spiritually, perfect ourselves and renew ourselves in his presence.

We are excited and preparing for the 2024 meeting. May the Eternal bless us every day, may we be active and helping in all the work in our congregations, being examples of what we learned at this event.

 

Seeking to fulfill in our living and practicing the words of the apostles:

“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and steadfast, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58;

“Let each one administer to others the gift as he received it, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” 1 Peter 4:10.

And to be like Mary who chose the best part, she was rooted in knowledge, faith and spiritually confident in the Lord.

Jovens no Encontro Geral There were incredible moments with the young people. On Saturday morning (12/23), we shared spiritual experiences in Bible school with Pastor Samuel, learning about the perseverance of Joseph (he who was sold as a slave, but who became governor in Egypt). In the afternoon, we participated in a wonderful talk with evangelist Valério about motivation and attitudes. We also had moments of relaxation with conversation circles and team competitions, in which the young people surprised us with super creative war cries. On Sunday, to finish, the young people faced an endurance race, where they had to overcome themselves physically and prove to themselves that in life we will have several obstacles, but if we have God, whenever we fall, He will be ready to pick us up so we can continue, because We may lose a battle, but never the war.  This week the project "Digital Church of God" was born. Is an initiative of three local churches. At first it was just me and my wife Ana Lúcia, working on setting up a local Church app. Now we have five more people with us, thinking about the best way to act in the digital world with the Gospel of the Kingdom message. Attract people: through courses and advertisements; do course pilots and interact with new people in cities where there is already a local church; 3. Retain and care for people: promoting intimacy with God (prayer, fasting and study)
