A lot of emotion  The 2023 General Meeting was full of emotions, and one of the very emotional moments took place on the afternoon of 12/24, when three young people were baptized: Samuel, Evelyn and Damaris. The couple Samuel and Evelyn (Almirante Tamandare-PR), are the fruits of IDSD Digital, a project to disseminate the gospel and communion through digital media. The couple lived in Foz do Iguaçu – PR, where there is no congregation of the Seventh-day Church of God. But this was not an obstacle for them to seek God and learn from his word. On Saturdays they attended Bible Schools and online services broadcast by the IDSD Colombo congregation via YouTube and app. On Mondays, they took the “Biblical Doctrines” course with pastor Eugênio Junior, via video call. Time passed and the Lord worked in their lives until the moment they decided to surrender their lives to Him through baptism. Young Damaris is from Criciúma–SC, granddaughter of Pastor Artimimo and daughter of Pastor Ismael. The

Women at the General Meeting Sisters from different locations came together at the 2023 General Meeting to worship the Lord, grow in grace and knowledge and become spiritually strengthened. The grace of the Lord enveloped them in an immeasurable way, the presence of the Eternal was felt at all times in all activities. We thank God for the renewal, blessings and for providing His anointing.   At this meeting there was a lecture with sister Anneliese (IDSD Nova Odessa-SP), who addressed the theme “Uncovering the Multiform Grace of God to have an Abundant Life” (1 Peter. 4:10). The syndromes of this time and how we must act to free ourselves and do God's will; Three faces of God's multiform grace; I understand the action of God's spirit in man to reach the mind of Christ. Lecture summary: - Being entirely in today - taking responsibility for ourselves and others, seeking the fullness of the action of God's grace in our lives: - Undeserved grace – accepting saving grace, p

Jovens no Encontro Geral There were incredible moments with the young people. On Saturday morning (12/23), we shared spiritual experiences in Bible school with Pastor Samuel, learning about the perseverance of Joseph (he who was sold as a slave, but who became governor in Egypt). In the afternoon, we participated in a wonderful talk with evangelist Valério about motivation and attitudes. We also had moments of relaxation with conversation circles and team competitions, in which the young people surprised us with super creative war cries. On Sunday, to finish, the young people faced an endurance race, where they had to overcome themselves physically and prove to themselves that in life we will have several obstacles, but if we have God, whenever we fall, He will be ready to pick us up so we can continue, because We may lose a battle, but never the war. We run an incorruptible race, we run towards the goal which is Christ, our Lord, always taking care that no one steals our crown. Throug

Homens no Encontro Geral The men had their moments of learning and exchanging experiences at the “IDSD 2023 General Meeting”. The first moment was on Saturday afternoon, the lecture by Pastor Gil (Congregation in Peruíbe-SP). The pastor gave a biblical explanation on four very important topics for those who wish to “Grow in Grace and Knowledge”: - Grace: unmerited favor (John 19:30), saving grace (Titus 2:11 and 12), grace to live (Luke 2:52), grace for grace and the truth came through Christ (John 1:17 ). The grace of living is living grace in its fullness, being and acting in such a way that others perceive grace in you. Your life would become the Bible that many sinners will read and your way of acting will witness Christ to them. This grace will draw them to Christ and make them want to live as He lived. - The Spirit of God in man's life: God is present in the lives of his servants in three forms, which the pastor conceptualized as the “three spirits of God”. 1st) rûach (Hb),

1ST GENERAL MEETING OF THE SEVENTH-DAY CHURCH OF GOD Opening and Bible School (at the end of the article there is a link to the photos)   The IDSD 2023 General Meeting began on the evening of 12/22, with a prayer for expectations performed by pastor Eugênio Junior (IDSD Colombo-PR), followed by the distribution of welcome kits, a loving gift from the entire organizing team. Expectations began to be exceeded the following morning with the Bible school, which you can now see a summary of everything that happened: The leader of the Bible School was brother Dário Júnior, from IDSD in São José do Rio Preto/SP and there was an exposition of the Word by Pastor Samuel Marques, who presented the families present at the event with a copy of the book George Müller.   Initially, the difference between centralized and decentralized administration systems was defined. The pastor highlighted the fact that we experienced the best and worst of centralization in the first forty years of the Seventh-day

Good News from Brazil

This is, without a doubt, the least busy blog in the world. One post per year is the average around here. The good news is that in this year of work a lot of good things happened and I will update the numbers that were mentioned in the last post. And coincidentally, the last post was exactly one year ago, when I announced the launch of the new Church mobile app, which at that time had jumped from 64 to 128 users. Now, one year later, this number has more than doubled and we now have 293 active users on the app. Also between January 2023 and January 2024, more than 100 copies of the Systematic Theology book were distributed. And in December 2023 we held the first general meeting of autonomous Churches in Brazil. This is excellent news for the Church of God in our country. Now we launch the next translation project. This time the work translated into Portuguese will be the book "Primitive Christianity in Crisis" by Alan Knight. This time I would like to post the phases of the
Checking one of the previous posts, I see that I wrote on February 10, 2021: "I will apply my energy and faith for years to come: 1) The local church of São José do Rio Preto; 2) The publication of the Systematic Theology book (April 2021) and then the creation of the Publishing House; 3) Completion of my Masters (June 2021) And this is actually what I did: 1. By the grace of our God, the book on Systematic Theology was successfully published. It took three years working on the translation, revision, indexes and publication. We launched a fundraising campaign and had the support of ten local churches. We hired one of the best Christian book publishers who came up with a modern graphic design and printed 300 copies of the book. At this moment 197 copies have already been distributed. Along with the launch of the book, we held the first class of the online course in Systematic Theology with 8 classes, with an introduction and a class for each part of the book. The classes were give
